PSE description :
Pour un Sourire d’Enfant (PSE) – For a Child’s Smile is a non-profit organization founded by Christian and Marie-France des Pallières, operating in Cambodia since 1995. Its mission is to help to help children escape from destitution and lead them to decent, skilled and well-paid jobs.
Recognized by the local authorities, PSE is working in respect of the country, with the Cambodians, and thus supports sustainable development.
Six main programs – adapted to the needs of the children – have been developed: food, health, protection, education & schooling, vocational training and help for families.
PSE helps more than 6,500 children and more than 5,500 graduates from PSE Vocational Training program already have successfully integrated the job market with a real qualified position.
PSE employs more than 600 people in Cambodia (Phnom Penh mainly) and 6 staff at the headquarter in France. 300 volunteers in different countries are actively working on making the organization known, on fundraising donations and sponsorships.
In 2000, PSE was awarded the French Human Rights Prize by the French Republic.
Description :
- Help to develop the confidence and motivation level of the students via soft skill and language classes (English & French )
- Shadowing the students in operation at the Lotus Blanc Restaurant and Welcome Center
- Assist students developing the employability skills (CV writing and interview skills)
Missions :
- Improving English lexicon visibility in ALL practical areas and classrooms
- Conducting training sessions and classes to improve the skills, confidence and knowledge of the students who are in need of support. This should include all skills such as Food Production (FP), Food and Beverage Service (FBS), Housekeeping (HK), Front Office (FO), Hairdressing and Beauty (HB)
- Providing guidance and supervision to the students in the operation at the training restaurant Lotus Blanc during the lunch service and to the Front Office students in operation at the Welcome Center (WC)
- Assisting students developing the employability skills (CV writing and interview skills) by working closely with life skill trainer.
- Collaborating and working alongside with SOH staff e.g. admin task
- To develop a calendar of events & workshops, ensuring the students to remain motivated and engaged throughout their studies and other admin task
- Other tasks as assigned by the Dean
Expériences / Formation
- Bachelor Degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent
- Experience in hospitality management, customer relation/service, or equivalent field preferred
- Proficient with MS Office, gmail
- Good communication, planning, organizing and coordinating skills
- Fluent in English
Salaire
Duration: 6 months minimum
