Call for Proposals in Moldova to support local civil society organizations focused on peacebuilding and recovery of displaced women and girls| United Nations Women’s Peace & Humanitarian Fund (WPHF)
Objective:
Support the institutional capacity and/or programmatic initiatives of local civil society organizations in Moldova, led by or working for women and young women affected by forced displacement, particularly due to the war in Ukraine.
Application deadline:
June 1, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Geneva time (CET)
Eligibility criteria:
- The lead applicant must be a civil society organization legally registered in Moldova;
- Must be women-led, young women-led (18–29), or led by displaced persons and working on gender equality and women’s rights;
- International NGOs (including French NGOs), universities, public institutions and private companies are not eligible as lead applicants;
- French NGOs may participate as co-implementing partners in a consortium, as long as the lead organization meets all eligibility requirements and is based in Moldova.
Eligible countries:
Moldova only (multi-country projects are not eligible)
Project duration:
Up to 12 months
Grant amount:
- Institutional funding: USD 2,500 – 20,000
- Programmatic funding: USD 30,000 – 75,000

Additional information:
Two funding streams available:
- Institutional funding: to support internal capacity building of women-led CSOs in Moldova.
- Programmatic funding: for projects enhancing displaced women and young women’s political and economic participation.
Applications must be submitted in English, using the official WPHF templates only. Organizations may apply for one or both funding streams, but must submit separate application packages.
