The World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH – founded as OIE) is a leading intergovernmental organisation representing 183 Members worldwide. Job Description |
Positioning and reporting The Communication Coordinator reports to the Head of the Communication Department and works in close collaboration with the Communication team. The Coordinator will support the management and operational functions of the Department to ensure the successful delivery of its activities. |
Job purpose With the aim of strengthening the implementation of WOAH’s Communication Strategy and ensuring smooth operations within the Communication Department, the Communication Coordinator will contribute to the implementation of WOAH’s Communication Strategy, provide assistance across a range of the team’s communication activities and support departmental management functions. |

Expériences / Formation
Qualifications and Experience
Required qualifications and experience
– Graduate degree in communication, journalism, public relations, or a related field.
– At least five years of proven professional experience in project management and communication.
Expected skills
Required technical skills:
– High proficiency in English (oral and written).
– Proficiency in project management tools and software.
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
– Familiarity with social media platforms, website management, and content creation.
– Familiarity with design tools like Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
– General knowledge of budgeting and procurement processes.
Additional technical skills
– Knowledge of the third WOAH official language (Spanish or French) will be considered an asset.
Required interpersonal skills:
– Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
– Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team environment.
– Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Salaire
Working conditions
– Type of contract: Fixed-term contract.
– Duration: 2 years renewable.
– Location: WOAH Headquarters 12 rue de Prony 75017 Paris, France.
– Salary: commensurate with qualifications and experience), exempt of French income tax + annual performance bonus + plus allowances based on eligibility.
– The post is a full-time position based at the WOAH Headquarters in Paris and requires long hours in a seated position at a computer. It can entail missions abroad.
– Telework is currently authorized for up to 3 days per week.
