SOLIDARITES INTERNATIONAL (SI) is an international humanitarian aid association which, since more than 40 years, has been providing assistance to populations affected by armed conflicts and natural disasters by meeting their basic needs for food, water and shelter. Particularly committed to the fight against diseases linked to unsafe water, the leading cause of death in the world, SI’s interventions provide expertise in the field of access to drinking water, sanitation and hygiene promotion, but also in the essential area of food security and livelihoods. Present in 26 countries, the SI teams – 3200 people in total, made up of expatriates, national staff, permanent staff at HQ, and a few volunteers – intervene with professionalism and commitment while respecting cultural norms.
About the mission
Solidarités International (SI) first intervened in 2019 in response to Cyclone Idai. Due to the crisis in Cabo Delgado, SI conducted an assessment in Mueda in May 2021 and by July 2021 had begun implementing life-saving activities in Mueda. SI is today implementing activitiess in whole Cabo Delgado province especially in Mueda, Nangade, Muidumbe, Palma, Mocimboa da Praia districts.
In 2024 and 2025, SI Mozambique focuses into integrated, multisectoral programming including Rapid Response Mechanism, WASH, Food Security Livelihoods, Non Food Items, thanks to the financial support of BHA, ECHO, SDC, CDCS, UNICEF, AERMC
GENERAL OBJECTIVE & PRIORITIES FOR THE 2/3 FIRST MONTHS:
Implement and oversee all logistics operations at the assigned base to ensure smooth program support, in accordance with Solidarités International procedures.
Assist the Field Coordinator in reviewing, implementing, and monitoring safety and security measures to protect staff, assets, and activities at the base.
Ensure sound administrative, accounting, and financial management of the base in strict compliance with donor requirements and Solidarités International internal procedures. Monitor and report on budget utilization and support preparation of financial reports as needed.He/she supervises accounting operations and cash management, and carries out budget follow up in conjunction with the program managers.

THE MAIN CHALLENGES:
1. Ensure ongoing capacity building and follow-up with the one local partner organizations at base level 2. Implement and monitor Solidarités International mission procedures and logistical tools, ensuring proper use. 3. Serve as the Base point of reference and the link with Coordinations on all support related matters. 4. Support the team to set up or reopen the Mocimboa base. |
SECURITY CONSTRAINTS:
Security context can change quickly. Day-to-day security monitoring is complusary. Mueda security is Level 3
A salaried position: SI also covers accommodation costs and travel expenses between the expatriate’s country of origin and the place of assignment. Breaks: During the assignment, a system of alternation between work and time off is implemented at the rate of 7 working days every three months (with a USD 850 break allowance, allocated by Sl). To these breaks periods, SI grants one (1) additional rest day per month worked. Insurance package: Expatriates benefit from an insurance package which refunds all healthcare expenses (including medical and surgical expenses, dental care and ophthalmological expenses, repatriation) and a welfare system including war risks. Essential vaccination and antimalarial treatment costs are refunded.

1. Previous experience of INGO/UN agencies desired. 2. Previous experience in unstable environment (conflict / post conflict country) 3. Experience of both HR and Finance management 4. Knowledge of Saga and Homere software 5. Knowledge of Solidarites rules, tools, and procedures an asset 6. Training and capacity building skills |
