Created in 2005, the Americas-Caribbean Regional Intervention Platform (PIRAC), is the representative delegation of the French Red Cross for the Caribbean region as well as its operational mechanism for humanitarian action and regional cooperation. PIRAC comes to the aid of the populations of the Caribbean in all major disasters and strives to develop actions to strengthen the resilience capacities of populations in French territories as well as the countries of the Caribbean arc and the Guyana plateau.

The French Red Cross has developed disaster risk reduction and epidemic prevention and preparedness projects in many Caribbean territories: countries in the region, islands and mainland (Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Lucia, Dominica, Suriname, Guyana, Haiti, etc.) as well as in the French territories of the Antilles-Guyana.

Purpose:

Ensure the management and implementation of the following logistical activities relating to emergency logistical support from National Societies (NS):

Ensure the follow-up of the construction of the storage units of the National Societies of St Lucia, Dominica, Antigua & Barbuda, St. Vincent & Grenadines, St. Kitts & Nevis and Grenada.

Oversee the technical development of the WSM module of the IFRC RMS software in coordination with the needs of NS and the IFRC logistics department based in Panama.

Support the achievement of a mission to capitalize and consolidate training materials on humanitarian logistics.
